In Pokémon GO, Apex Shadow Ho-Oh and Lugia will appear as stronger Shadow Pokémon.

Apex Shadow Ho-Oh and Apex Shadow Lugia, more powerful forms of Shadow Ho-Oh and Shadow Lugia, will arrive in Pokémon GO on February 26th as part of the Pokémon Go Tour: Johto.

A new line of Masterwork Research will be available to Pokémon GO Tour: Johto ticket holders who have finished the event’s special research. This research is meant to be completed over an extended period of time. Two Legendary Shadow Pokémon can be found by completing this Masterwork Research. The Trainer’s choice of Gold or Silver for the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto is not a factor in these encounters. There has never been an aura like this around any of the Apex Shadow Ho-Oh or Apex Shadow Lugia. After being purified, this aura will be different.

A stronger variant of Sacred Fire, Sacred Fire+, is known by Apex Shadow Ho-Oh, which possesses 130 Trainer Battle and 135 Gym and Raid power. Sacred Fire+ will become Sacred Fire++ after Apex Shadow Ho-Oh has been cleansed, giving it an additional 130 power in Trainer Battles and 155 power in Gyms and raids, respectively.

This Lugia can use Aeroblast+, which has 170 power in Trainer Battles and 200 in Gyms and Raises, to its advantage. Aeroblast+ will become Aeroblast++ after Apex Shadow Lugia is cleansed, increasing its power by 170 in Trainer Battles and 225 in Gyms and raids.
