Two college baseball players were killed in a car accident just hours after winning the national championship.

Two LaGrange College baseball players perished in an automobile accident just hours after their team won the conference title over the weekend.

Stephen Bartolotta and Jacob Brown were died in a sad accident on Saturday evening, according to LaGrange College President Dr. Susanna Baxter

"This news hits our baseball players especially hard after the team's conference championship success yesterday," she said. "There are no words for it."

Baxter went on to say that the school has ""We will walk through this together as a campus family with God as our strength," he continued,

who would prefer that assistance either individually or in groups." Please, as the loving community that I know we are, support one another."

On the LaGrange College athletics website, both Bartolotta, 18, and Brown, 19, were classified as freshmen.
