Guinness World Records has named a glass-bottomed walkway in Vietnam, which debuted to considerable fanfare in April, the world's longest bridge of its kind.
The previous record for the world's largest glass-bottomed bridge was held by a construction in Guangdong, China, which was 1,726 feet in length.
The Bach Long bridge, located in the rural highlands of Son La province in northwestern Vietnam, connects travellers to a popular mountain resort
The glass bridge, suspended 492 feet above ground and extending 2,073 feet in length, was a cooperative project between local tourism officials
and a French construction business to stimulate tourism, which had been severely harmed by the global financial crisis.
