Customers of multiple Hamden waterways may rest easy this Saturday now that the water is safe to drink.
The New Haven-based Regional Water Authority has discontinued the precautionary boil water warning for Hamden's High Rock Road etc.
After a 16-inch water main break Thursday afternoon, residents no longer need to boil their water.
Service was restored Thursday evening.
Residents were urged to boil tap water until a full round of water-quality testing could be done.
The Connecticut Department of Public Health announced Saturday that tap water is safe to drink.
