Officials confirmed Friday that the death toll from a house explosion in Pennsylvania has risen to five.
Around 8 p.m. on Thursday, an explosion occurred in Pottstown, some 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia. Officials first stated that four persons had died.
Five individuals were killed and two others were injured in the explosion, according to Pottstown Borough Manager Justin Keller.
One was in serious but stable condition, while the other was undergoing surgery for unspecified injuries.
Officials stated two people were believed to be missing after the explosion. Keller stated that everyone had been found as of Friday afternoon.
