Which is less expensive: working from home or in an office?

Is it less expensive to work from home than in an office? Most office workers are debating whether to go to work or not on a daily basis as a result of the pandemic.

Even Prime Minister Boris Johnson has joined the debate, claiming that individuals are more productive away from home, demonstrating that the topic is far from over.

However, because of the current economic downturn, many of us are keeping a closer eye on our bank accounts than ever before.

Inflation has reached a 40-year high of 9%, energy expenses are skyrocketing, and childcare costs are skyrocketing.

Working from home is, on average, less expensive. The increased energy expenditures from working from home are outweighed by the cost of commuting

and the desire to buy lunch – or at least that was the case prior to the cost of living issue.
